Team Member Spotlight: Matt Rosenbaugh, National Accounts Manager
Here at Hotel Engine, we believe a company is only as extraordinary as its people. We’ve dedicated ourselves to improving the lives of business travelers but want to show off the people who help make that happen. On a regular basis, we’ll be doing a Q&A with one of our amazing team members to showcase the folks behind the scenes of Hotel Engine.
Matt Rosenbaugh joined us in 2018 as a National Accounts Manager. Matt is a hard-working, fun, and energetic team member who is always striving for the very best, as both a business colleague and a person. So, let’s get to know Matt!
Where are you from?
Do you have a nickname at work?
Not really. A select few call me Matty, however, I don’t let just anyone call me that.
What’s your favorite part about your team?
I love being on a team with others who are smarter than I am so that I can continue to learn from them. When you put different backgrounds and experiences together, you can truly make anything happen!
What’s your spirit animal and why?
A sloth. They don’t let life get in the way of their happiness and goals. Have you ever seen a sloth cross the street? It could care less about the people taking photos or the cars driving by. It’s just focused on the other side of the road! They are also easy going, which I like to think I am as well.
What do you love about working for Hotel Engine?
I love that I work for a company that ALWAYS finds a way to win. There is not a person I work with who doesn’t care about the future of this company. That is a special thing many other companies may not have.
What do you think is unique about working at Hotel Engine?
The culture. We work hard and play harder. I am always looking to hone in on my shuffle board skills to continuously beat Chris Jackson, Nora Tomson, and Michael Neal (They may tell you differently).
What does an average day at Hotel Engine look like for you?
The typical day at Hotel Engine can consist of many different things! Usually they are spent developing reports for various clients and coordinating with teams across the company to complete those projects. I love working with all of the different departments. My day also will consist of conversations with different accounts and result in providing them white glove service as all of the Account Managers here at Hotel Engine like to provide. Truly every day is different. Sometimes I am working with accounting, other days with marketing. Collaboration is key and when everyone wants to see the company succeed, it makes it more exciting!
What do you like to do when you’re not at the office?
I love to snowboard, travel, hike, hunt, fish and anything outdoors. I have a passion for archery hunting and spend time every year in different states pursuing this hobby. I may get some hate-mail for it, but that’s because some people don’t understand it.

Nothing to brag about! Surround yourself with good people that make you better. Things I have accomplished are not because of me but because of those I have learned from! I have beaten our CEO, Elia, at cornhole many times and I do take pride in that though!
What’s your favorite thing about living in Colorado?
The MOUNTAINS! How could you not!?
