Travel tech company earns placement on Built In’s Colorado list of “Best Places to Work” and “Best Midsize Companies to Work For”

Hotel Engine today announced that it is featured in Built In’s esteemed 2022 Best Places To Work List, marking the company’s recognition for the third year in a row. Specifically, the fast-growing, travel tech company earned coveted spots on two different lists: Colorado Best Places to Work and Colorado Best Midsize Companies to Work For.

“What an honor to be recognized among outstanding companies in Colorado for our unique workplace culture and values,” said Elia Wallen, founder and CEO. “With our phenomenal growth and ambitious goals, it’s very important for us to all be rowing in the same direction. We’ll continue to look for people with diverse backgrounds and skills who are energized by our culture to help us unlock our full potential.”

In 2022 alone, Hotel Engine plans to grow its team by more than 400 individuals, a 130% increase from its current headcount of 300. To support this growth, it plans to continue offering competitive benefits and to increase its diversity and inclusion efforts through new candidate sourcing policies and tools.

Built In’s annual awards program includes companies of all sizes, from startups to those in the enterprise, and honors both remote-first employers as well as companies in the eight largest tech markets across the U.S. The program determines the winners based on an algorithm, using company data about compensation, benefits and companywide programming. To reflect the benefits candidates are searching for more frequently on Built In, the program also weighs criteria like remote and flexible work opportunities, programs for DEI and other people-first cultural offerings.

“It is my honor to extend congratulations to the 2022 Best Places to Work winners,” says Sheridan Orr, Chief Marketing Officer, Built In. “This year saw a record number of entrants — and the past two years fundamentally changed what tech professionals want from work. These honorees have risen to the challenge, evolving to deliver employee experiences that provide the meaning and purpose today’s tech professionals seek.”
